Info
Clemente–Pardini is a duo founded in Pietrasanta (LU) in 2022 by Maria Selene Clemente (Cagliari, 1991) and Christian Pardini (Pietrasanta, 1987). Maria Selene is an independent journalist focusing on Africa and the Middle East, where she lived and worked for six years. Christian is a freelance graphic designer and photographer with a background in industrial design. Together, they develop photographic projects — both personal and commissioned — through a documentary approach that explores the landscape in its social and environmental dimensions. Their work has been exhibited at the Festival di Documentazione e Narrazione del Paesaggio in Cuneo, Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence, FMAV – Fondazione Modena Arti Visive, and in other group exhibitions. Their photographs have been published in magazines such as L’Espresso and Perimetro. In 2023, they received a special mention at the Urbanautica Institute Awards, and in 2024 they were invited to lead a workshop as part of the Landscape Representation course at the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome. In 2025, their work was selected for the Italian Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
